Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Beacon, a product of Change Agents Corporation (“Beacon,” “we,” “our” or “us”), collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit our website at www.thebeaconapp.com, request a free visibility audit, or subscribe to the Visibility Monitoring report (together, the “Services”).

Beacon is built for businesses. In this policy, “you” means a person who visits our Site or uses the Services, usually on behalf of a business. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms of Service.

We collect what we need to audit and report on your business’s visibility. Most of what we analyze is public information about businesses. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Information from public sources

Information collected automatically

2. How we use information

3. AI processing

Our visibility tests send questions to public AI assistants, as a customer would. The questions are about your type of business and location. We design them not to include personal information about you.

We also use AI model providers acting as our service providers, including Claude by Anthropic, to analyze results and help write reports.

We do not use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you, such as industry-level visibility trends.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Services, and understand how the Site is used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

6. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the Services, for the other purposes described in this policy, and as required or permitted by law. How long that is depends on the type of information, why we collected it, whether you still have an account, and our legal, accounting and security obligations. For example, we keep visibility test results while your subscription is active so we can show how your visibility changes over time.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it so it can no longer reasonably be linked to you. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; see Section 8.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest and limiting access to people who need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.

8. Your choices

9. U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

How to make a request: email privacy@thebeaconapp.com. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the email on your account and respond within 45 days (or a longer period the law allows, with notice). You may use an authorized agent. We may ask the agent for proof of your signed permission and ask you to confirm your identity directly. To appeal a decision, reply to our response with “Appeal” in the subject line. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. California notice

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described in Sections 1 and 2, and disclosed them for business purposes to the recipients in Section 4. We have not sold or shared them for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Do Not Track. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for them.

11. Children

The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Where we process information
